The Global Stable ROM for MIUI 8 will begin rolling out from August 23rd onwards. The first devices to get the ROM OTA include the Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G and Redmi Note 4G. Rest of the supported devices, including the Redmi Note 3 SD variant and the Mi Max will be getting the ROM progressively soon afterwards.

Redmi 1S, Mi 2/2S, Mi 4i, Redmi Note 3G, Redmi Note 4G will get OTA update on August 23rd. Updates for rest of the supported devices will be released progressively in the near future. We will keep you updated about further info, please stay tuned!
How to Upgrade to MIUI 8
For MIUI Global Stable ROM users, you will get MIUI 8 OTA update notifications on your phone. Or you can click ‘Updater’ app to check for updates. Don’t forget to backup data before upgrading.
