ASUS ROG STRIX GD30CI – Design and Build

The GD30CI is a mid-tower PC, meaning it’s substantially smaller than what most people are used to seeing in a gaming PC. It’s pretty stylish, too. The front of the PC is dominated by ventilation slits and a white cover for the optical drive bays. The top of the PC is design “Strix style”, with a crease in the middle that sweeps around to the rear of the PC.

The front of the GD30CI is loaded with more USB ports than you’ll probably ever need, including 2USB 2.0 ports, 2 USB 3.0 ports,  2 audio in/out ports and an additional MicroSD card reader.

The right-side panel sports nothing more than a few stickers. But the opposite side features a window that lets you peer into the LED-lit chassis, albeit through some mesh that coats the inside of the transparent window. And thanks to the system’s Aura RGB lighting controls, accessible through Asus’ Aegis III software utility, you’ll be able to control the lighting, choosing from a number of colors and lighting patterns. Steady color and cycling effects are all on the menu.

We did a bios, driver and windows updated before we run any benchmark test.
