The AMD Radeon RX470 Gaming X 8G from MSI, the card is fitted with GDDR5 8GB of graphics memory and this Gaming X 8G model does not come with a backplate and obviously TWIN FROZR VI cooler that once again proves us lower temperatures and better gaming. The card is tied towards a single 8-pin power connector. The card is a dual-slot, dual-fan solution and for something mainstream certainly looks high-end.

Let’s us unbox this beast!

MSI Gaming Series graphics cards are crafted to perfection in pursuit of the ultimate graphics experience for gaming enthusiasts. Based on the revolutionary AMD® Radeon ™ GPU architecture, Gaming X 8G graphics card brings you incredible gaming experience. The TWIN FROZR VI cooling system features heat pipe based cooler and has a pair of heat pipes, one 8mm and one 6mm, that flatten out as they go over the nickel-plated copper contact plate to improve thermal transfer. A pair of 95mm Torx 2.0 fans feature dispersion blades in addition to the standard blades on each of the fans. Together with Twin Fozr VI fin array to deliver an effective heat dissipation capacity for higher performance at lower temperatures.

Display connectivity options include a DVI port, two HDMI ports and two DisplayPorts.

One of the downsides of this card, MSI didn’t include backplate plate.

The card has a 110 Watt rated TDP, 75 Watts is delivered through the PCIe slot and another 35 Watts through the single 8-pin PEG (PCI Express graphics) power connector.
